NOT YOUR AVERAGE NAPA GUIDE!

When you think of Napa, what comes to mind? Winery hopping, beautiful vineyards, impeccable food, copious amounts of drinking, and an abundant amount of money being spent. But, what if I told you, you could drink incredible wine all day, every time you visit Napa, for a one-time yearly price of $119, which is what some single wine tastings and tours cost? This is not your average Napa guide, but I promise it’s worth your time to check it out!

Carneros Della Note Vineyard

Carneros della Notte is a vineyard that has a very unique experience, unlike any others. They have what’s called Own A Napa Vineyard. This experience has really made Napa a top California destination for us because of it. Essentially, you own your own vines on the vineyard.

With that, you get to name and label your vines, learn how to properly pick, prune, and make your own wine. You also get 50% off of all wines from the Carneros della Notte Vineyard, and these wines are incredible! They’ll ship your wine to wherever you are for a very small fee. I live in Los Angeles and they’ll overnight ship me an entire case of 12 bottles for only a $20 shipping fee. The owner Dave can also sandblast your very own label, that you can design, onto your wine. So, if you have a wedding or any special occasion, you can create your own customized wine bottle for the event!

We actually bought our vines for less than what’s listed on the website, comment below if you’d like to know how to get a discount. Either way, It’s a very low price to pay for everything that comes with owning vines in Napa! The owner is a very interesting and extremely knowledgeable guy! His stories on how he got started in the wine business are amazing and he will be the one to hands-on teach you everything you need to know to take care of your vines.

Where to Stay

The best deal in town is the Old World Inn! It’s an adorable old Victorian Mansion with themed rooms in the Cabernet House and a separate house next door called the Merlot House that allows dogs! So for a small fee of $30 per night, you can bring your doggy too! This Bed and Breakfast is only a short 9-minute drive away from the Carneros della Notte vineyard.

The Merlot house is less expensive, and normally even cheaper if you book it on Cheap Tickets or Booking.com than if you book directly through the hotel. Call the hotel directly first and ask if they can match the price you found online. My favorite suite is the Walk in the Clouds suite! It sleeps 4 and is a crazy good deal for Napa. Each room comes with a complimentary bottle of incredible wine too!

Other Must see Vineyards

  • Domaine Carneros– The Champagne flights here are delicious and they give full glass servings of each! The grounds are stunning and the tour is beautiful!
  • Castello di Amorosa– Not only does this winery have incredible wines, but the grounds are something out of a movie. It’s a real castle that took 14 years to build. It’s made out of all original stone and material all imported from Europe. You absolutely have to take the tour here to understand how grandiose and outlandish this place really is!
  • Sterling Vineyards– The wine isn’t very good, but the gondola is awesome and provides beautiful views!
  • V. Sattui Winery– The wine is mediocre, but the grounds are pretty!

Must see Nearby Towns

  • St. Helena – has an adorable little downtown with cute restaurants and shops and the foliage around the entire town is stunning. This is where the Castello di Amorosa winery is.
  • Calistoga– Is another adorable little town, there is a hot spring resort here that you can either stay at or visit for the day!
  • Guerneville – This is my FAVORITE nearby town because it’s home to the Russian River which is incredible to float down and swim in!
Floating the Russian River!

Other Fun Activities to Consider

  • Horseback riding and bike riding through the vineyards
  • Hot air ballooning
  • Taking a ride on the Wine Train
