One of my favorite places to stay in the adorable Avila Beach, CA is the Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort & Spa. It is incredible!

This mineral springs resort is a super lush, tucked away, secret garden. The Spa Queen Suite is the room we stay in and we absolutely love it! It’s very roomy!
Room Layout
When you walk in, there’s a super spacious living room, a fireplace, and a minibar with a sink, coffee maker, and refrigerator. The bedroom is beautiful and the shower is incredible! The French doors in the bedroom lead to your private patio with a luxurious mineral spring hot tub. It’s amazing! The hot tub feels incredible and ultra-relaxing! There’s also a table and lawn chairs to layout and drink wine from the region, while you cool off from the mineral tub. Here, you can relax and watch all the beautiful birds in your private mountain backyard.
Hikes on the Resort Grounds
These patios are super secluded. It will be hard to leave your cozy little compound, but when you do, you can venture out for a hike on one of the trails the property has to offer. One of them takes you up and over the mountain, down to Pirate’s Cove (Clothing Optional) Beach! The other one takes you over an adorable little bridge and on a beautiful hike to Avila Beach, the town’s main beach.
FY: Most of the prettiest beaches and coves I’ve seen thus far in California are clothing optional!
Other Amenities!
They also have a yoga barn with multiple classes, a full spa, as well as a bar and restaurant on the property. It’s definitely worth a stay here to experience how relaxing it truly is!
Reserving a Mineral Pool
You can also reserve one of the many mineral pools at the property. Since you have your private mineral tub on your patio, it won’t be necessary, but you can rent these pools and hot tubs even if you’re not staying on the property.
FYI: The mineral pools and tubs that you can rent, even if you’re not staying at the property, are currently closed do to Covid, but hopefully they will be able to open up as soon as possible!

Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort & Spa is a perfect weekend getaway from LA! Nestled in my absolute favorite little town on the Central Coast, Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort & Spa is incredible for an anniversary, or just a relaxing weekend away with someone special.
